# Get or download a file

Private session interface. Opens or downloads a file. Reading a Skill attachment requires read access to that Skill; version (original, processed, public) and action (view, download) select the returned content and operation.

## Authentication

This operation requires a user OAuth access token in `Authorization: Bearer <token>`. A signed-in browser may use its Counso session cookie. A workspace API key does not supply user identity.

## Parameters

| `wId`     | path     | string | Yes      | ID of the workspace                                                |
| `fileId`  | path     | string | Yes      | ID of the file                                                     |
| `version` | query    | string | No       | File version to retrieve Values: `original`, `processed`, `public` |
| `action`  | query    | string | No       | Action to perform Values: `view`, `download`                       |

## Responses

| 200         | File content or redirect to download URL |
| 302         | Redirect to signed download URL          |
| 404         | File not found                           |
